Biography
Pouya Molaei was a 21-year-old man and the cousin of Kian Pirfalak’s mother. On June 11, 2023, he was shot and killed by security forces at a checkpoint in Izeh while traveling to attend a birthday memorial for Kian. While state media alleged that he had struck an officer with his vehicle during the encounter, he is memorialized as a victim of the government's lethal force.
